Bart
I just wanted to update you a little on Bart. He’s pretty well settled in now, and seems to be loving life. Bart has a lot of character, at least once a day he manages to come up with something to surprise me, from dragging his bed out of his crate, and up onto mine, to trying to bury toys and bones under the furniture. He’s six weeks into the beginner’s obedience class at Petsmart, and he’s learning quickly. He may not be the best behaved dog in the class, but he’s still the star. He grasps the concepts real fast, but has a mind of his own and can be stubborn. I’m really patient with him though, and he comes around. We can almost make it through Petsmart without him trying to yank my arm off to get at a bag of dog food, or treats.

He loves going for walks, and can’t sit still when he sees me pick up the leash. There’s a creek nearby and he loves to go see the turtles, and fish. One of these days I think he’s going to try to jump in, but so far he hasn’t. He still likes to chew, but sticks to his nylabone, and rope toys so he’s not destructive.

Bart is the best dog I’ve ever had, and I am very glad I got the opportunity to adopt him! I’m including a few snapshots of him so you can see how he’s doing.

Paul
