Daisy
“We adopted Daisy on August 4th 2002, which is my husbands birthday. I had been looking for a second dog as a present for my husband and a companion to our sheltie “Ally”. After researching different breeds ,we had decided that we wanted a beagle, so I started looking at area shelters with no luck. During a conversion with a co-worker she told me about a beagle her neighbor, Michelle was fostering. She went on and on about how cute and sweet Daisy was. We had to meet her. Luckily, we were able to set up a meeting with Michelle the next day.

Well, it took about two seconds to decide she was coming home with us! We loved her immediately, and she seemed so happy to be with us. She is a little bit of a spoiled girl and demands lot of attention, but that is OK with us. Sandra helped us to understand the traits of a beagle. We have both always had dogs in our lives, but never a beagle. The advise definitely helped us to make her transition smooth. Ally and Daisy get along very well, except Daisy always likes to be practically on top of Ally, and Ally needs her space. At first Daisy would try to lay close to her and lick her and Ally would politely get up and move. Daisy still tries to sit or sleep close to Ally. I don’t think she will ever give up. Daisy is a cuddler, and she loves to be the center of attention.

We love her so much and are so happy we found out about Hound Rescue. THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED!”
