Just wanted to give you an update on Macy. Since 21 August, she has walked 43 miles and run 7 for a total of 50 miles! Longest single walk two miles. Longest single run, two miles. She loves to walk, and here in Santa Fe, she is getting a 1 mile walk in the morning, a 1 mile walk in the early evening, and a 1 mile walk before bed time. She sleeps in a doggie bed right beside my bed. She has another bed by the window that she likes during the day. So far, she has come to work with me. She has already learned to head straight for my office! She sleeps under my desk in a doggie bed, and we go out for some air and wabbit huntin’ several times through the day. (Lot of rabbits, prairie dogs around my office building) She loves riding in the car, and jumps in before I can place her bed on the passenger side floor.
She made the 15 hour drive just fine. We stopped every couple of ours and both had nice walks. Everyone that has met her, loves her, and I’m always proud to say that the Houston Beagle Rescue matched me up with her.
We have really bonded, and I’m sure she is, as my wife keeps saying, spoiled, spoiled, spoiled.
