We let Grayson help us decorate the Christmas tree when we got home (that’s after a $150 trip to Petsmart). He enjoyed himself, I think. It seemed that his tail was knocking the lights off the tree faster than we could put them on. He really checked out the back yard and the house. He did nothing but sniff for an hour. He met the dog next door who scared him a little with the bark as he is a huge yellow lab. But, Grayson soon found out that the lab is all bark.
I really do think Grayson might have been hit a bunch as a pup. He gets really skittish if you move too fast at him and/or he backed against a wall when you try to pet him. I’ve told him over and over that I won’t hurt him but I’m sure it will take him some time to fully trust me. He still has yet to bark for us. He whined a little last night. Oh, and eating, man can he eat. Our other Beagle never ate like that. Grayson slams that food like he hasn’t eaten in days. He does pretty good with guzzling water too.”
